Who I support.

I specialise in cerebral palsy and also support children with other neurological conditions.

I work with babies, children and teenagers — getting to know who they are, what interests them, and what matters to your family.

The ages are a guide. I’ll always start with your child.

A diagnosis is only
part of the story.

You’re welcome to talk to me whether you have a diagnosis or are still trying to understand what’s happening.

I specialise in supporting children with cerebral palsy, from the early years through to eighteen. I’ll get to know how it affects your child’s movement and everyday life, and what they enjoy and want help with.

Cerebral palsy can be diagnosed in infancy, although for some children reaching a diagnosis takes longer.

About diagnosis, from the NHS

Home visits.

Getting to know each other,
in a place your child knows.

Our first visitUp to 90 minutes

First, I get to know your child.

When I first visit your home, I want to get to know your child as a person, as well as understand their physical needs.

The first half is mainly spent assessing your child. The second half gives us time to talk together and get to know your child better.

And to understand your child, I want to hear about their life within your family. We’ll make time to talk about how things feel for you and your child, and anything you’d like me to understand. What physio means to you, as well as your child.

Together, we’ll agree priorities and discuss the most useful next steps, including whether further physiotherapy would help.

The relationship grows, too.

If we agree to continue, we’ll arrange further home visits. This is where the relationship truly starts to build.

Week after week, I will not only get to know your child better, but your child will get to know me better too.

With lots of fun along the way, this is where we start working towards your goals.

Throughout this time, I’ll keep checking in on other aspects of your child’s life — any changes that may cause additional stress.

Physio is never done in isolation from the rest of the child’s life.
